I realised I've been so busy working on various projects, that I haven't created time for myself to work on my own personal films, something I really love doing.

So the other day I set myself a challenge to write, shoot, and edit a short film in a week. 

​

I was a little nervous as I am typically the person behind the camera, but this poem was so personal to me I knew I had to find the courage to step in front of the camera.

​

That wasn't without it's challenges, as I would have to set up the camera, hit record and then hop into the shot, hoping and praying that I was in frame and in focus.

 

I knew that I was on the right track when the Universe timed a Kaka (a native New Zealand bird) to fly perfectly through my shot. 

 

So here it is -   "Awaken" a one minute short film by Me.
