I Am the Love of My Life

Written from the gentle truth of a woman coming home to her own heart

There was a time in my life when I didn’t know how to love myself.
I kept looking outward for reassurance that I was enough, hoping the reflections in other people’s eyes would quiet the ache I carried inside. I didn’t realise then that the longing I felt wasn’t a flaw. It was simply my heart calling me home.

For many years, I lived behind a carefully crafted persona — a version of myself built to cope, to belong, to keep moving. Beneath that version were insecurities I never spoke of and shadows I didn’t yet know how to meet. The younger woman I once was tried her best, but she didn’t yet understand that love could rise from within.

It has taken decades of lived experience — lessons, forgiveness, loss, joy, motherhood, and the unfolding of my spiritual path — to arrive where I stand today. Not perfect. Not finished. Simply… me.

And in this place, I discovered a truth I never imagined would feel so natural to say:

I am the love of my life.

This is not a declaration of pride.
It is a remembrance.

It means I no longer abandon myself.
I no longer silence my needs.
I no longer apologise for my tenderness, my wisdom, or the depth of my heart.

It means I honour the woman I have become, shaped by years of searching, softened by compassion, strengthened by truth.

It means I hold myself with the same kindness I have poured into others…
and I finally recognise the purity of intention that has always lived within me.

Saying “I am the love of my life” is not about excluding the people I cherish.
It is about returning to the source of every loving act I have ever given.
It is about coming home.

My journey to this truth was long.
Yours may be different — gentler, slower, faster, or still unfolding.
There is no right way to arrive. Only the steady willingness to listen to the quiet wisdom of your own heart.

And when that wisdom speaks, it may tell you what it once told me:

You are worthy of your own love.
You are allowed to choose yourself.
You are allowed to be at peace.
You are allowed to shine.

To every woman who has spent a lifetime caring for others, holding stories unspoken, or believing her worth lives outside herself — may these words rest softly upon your heart.

You are the love of your life.
You always have been.

Love of My Life

If the story above spoke to you, allow the music to draw you even deeper.
Let it sit with you. Let it hold you.

“Love of My Life” is the sound of a woman remembering her worth and allowing herself to be held by her own heart.

It carries the journey of my healing, the lessons that shaped me, and the peace that now feels like my natural resting place. It is a reminder that self-love is not a destination, but a returning — again and again — to the truth within.

As you listen, may something in you soften.
May you feel reminded of your own strength, your own gentleness, your own brilliance.

May this song meet you exactly where you are and illuminate the love that has always been yours.
